The intimate setting of the Lions Den (The Memphis Blues Hall Headquarters) in Memphis, Michigan is the setting for our March Free For All Session. Doors open @ 6, sign up for a half hour set. The obligatory, no holds barred, jam session of the willing after 11:30. No cover, no charge, no way for anything. Bring your own drinks. My famous Chicago Dogs, as usual, on the menu. Bill Fragel’s sound System will be in the house, with Sean Hartly himself running the Mix.

These monthly jams help support our annual Blues Festival every August in Memphis.

All are welcome. Play any style, blues is not all we do.  What we do for sure is have a good time at these events!

Bands: Set times are generally one hour.  Our sound man will have you dialed in and ready to play within 15 minutes.  So 45 minutes to lay out your favorite set!  Solo and Duet Teams entertain Between Setups.

If  the MBF evolves into an event with corporate sponsorship we will be in a position to offer some paid set times.  Until then the policy for playing remains unchanged;  Bands play for the Love it,  To entertain ourselves and our local fan bases.  Preference is extended to past participants.  Final selection is determined after communication from all interested parties.  Local,  Regional, and special guests  are considered for appearances.  Social Media, Local Press, and Craig’s List notifications go out in early summer.  Final roster is set by early July.

The page has been up a few days now, and we are amazed at the results.  Another tool to help us keep the Memphis Blues Festival in Michigan Absolutely Free to the Public!

Look for our next Lions Hall Event (A Coalition of the willing:  Bands, solo picking, and old fashioned impromptu jamming encouraged), at the Lions Den in Memphis towards the end of February (34758 Pratt Road Memphis, Michigan).   As always, no cover, all welcome to play, and everyone have as much fun as they can stand.  Together, we keep the Blues Alive in the “Other Memphis” every Summer, and maintain a Venue for all stripes of Musicians, all year long, at the Lions Den Hall.

We’ll have a PA and a drum set on Stage, want to Play?  Like to Jam,  this place is for you! 

Sugar Shack is going to Play.  Some boys from the Memphis Blues Last Stand Blues Band will do a set, and StevieWeave will do an unplugged set.

We have  lots of time open in the evening.  Feel like playing a few songs? Come on down.  Pick a solo or grab a few musicians from the house.  Bring your self, hey bring the whole band!

No cover. Bring your own favorite beverage.  Chicago dogs for your      dining  pleasure during the evening.

Music in Memphis (“the Other Memphis”), Chicago Dogs, and live entertainment.  It will be a night well spent!
