I’d like to thank our founder, Stevie Weave, for making this blues festival happen, improving it, and turning this square mile city into a rockin’ party. Every year, MBMI receives more and more compliments in regards to how it is set up: a full day concert where bands collectively contribute their talent to our growing event. Thank you to all of the musicians, fans, and friends that make this day possible every year.

ps: A few weeks prior to this post, we were interviewed on our local cable station that airs in 5 cities and it was a lot of fun! (as soon as we’re given the video clip, that will be shared here)

Memphis, The Last Small Town North of Detroit

Eight Bands will be appearing Saturday August 4th on the Memphis Lions Grounds. A large Pavillion wrapped in the Spruce Forest of the grounds covers our ample, raisedcenter Stage. Take a ride out to the Last Small Town North of Detroit. Music from 2-10. Fire works follow, and we will be Jammin at the Lions Hall after the show(Right on the Grounds, Pa Provided)

We may not be the most sophisticated production, but certainly we are the freest, musician, Fan Friendly Venue you may ever find. Refreshing for a non commercial gig brought to you by people who do it for the Love of it. And you can Feel the Love!

Fossil plays a few tunes and we discuss this Great Music event we host in the “Other” Memphis every summer.

Counting Down

Just three weeks until Memphis Blues 2012. Making the last picks as information from the bands becomes available. A few conformations as of today: F Street Blues Band, Eddy Johnson, Blue Top Blues, Livinging Room Blues, The BDI Band, Blue Dorris.

We are hoping for a few special guests to drop by during the evening also.

We will post final band Roster with Set Times shortly.

Fans and Musicians please join us for after hours jamming after the conclusion Of this years show. We will have a Pa set up in the Lions Hall On the Memphis Blues Festival Grounds. All Welcome, No cover, come and play, come and visit. Be a nice way to cap off the nights party!

You may bring your own beverages into the Hall.

See you Saturday August 4th 2-10.

March 24 Memphis Hall Open Jam

The Memphis Blues Michigan Network is hosting our March Jam at the Lions Hall 34758 Pratt Road Memphis, Michigan, Saturday March 24^th.

The intimate setting of the Lions Den (The Memphis Blues Hall Headquarters) in Memphis, Michigan is the setting for our March Free For All Session. Doors open @ 6, sign up for a half hour set. The obligatory, no holds barred, jam session of the willing after 11:30. No cover, no charge, no way for anything. Bring your own drinks. My famous Chicago Dogs, as usual, on the menu. Eat, Drink, and be Merry, for Saturday we Jam! (March 24) Lions hall . Map tab on memphisbluesmi.com.

Bill Fragel’s sound System will be in the house, with Sean Hartly himself running the Mix.

These monthly jams help support our annual Blues Festival every August in Memphis.

All are welcome. Play any style, blues is not all we do. What we do for sure is have a good time at these events!

Another Blast! Thanks, all Musicians and fans and friends for coming out to the “Other Memphis” Jam at the Lions Den Saturday. I always enjoy the sets, and my favorite; the spontaneous jams that mark up the night. That is the real Deal. So much fun.
